Mlec's Journal, 27 May 2015

So I've been exercising nonstop for 3 weeks now and going onto my 4th week! When I initially started this workout routine, I was actually 160 pounds. Before that, during my spring break, I actually reached my highest weight of 162. I was horrified. What was I doing to myself?!? I kept ignoring the fat secret emails, because I really did NOT want to record my weight and feel horrible. But now, after three weeks and finally checking the scale, I lost 6 pounds!!! I'm so happy. My clothes are fitting looser too! I have a completely different outlook on this fat loss/ get fit journey. I'm not trying to lose weight in a constricted amount of time. I'm not trying to put ridiculous expectations on myself. And I'm not setting unrealistic and difficult schedules for myself. By doing this, it has allowed me to ease into working out and eating healthy. If I mess up, It's ok. I just keep doing what I know is working. I'm not cutting things out of my diet, I'm just making healthier choices. If I want the dessert, I'm gonna have it. But in reason. I also am not pushing myself to the limit with exercise and then tiring/hurting myself, which then leads me to not being able to exercise for days, and then I never get back into it. I've been following the blogilates beginner's calendar with occasional yoga days. And it's been great! I've definitely seen a change in my body. I've also started incorporating 30 minutes on the elliptical into my routine. It's been great and it has made me better able to stick with it and want to do it. I look forward to exercising now. It also helps keep the stress at bay. Overall, I'm happy and I'm excited to see what comes. :)

Congratulations on your weight loss. I am proud to read that you are keeping your goal's realistic and doing what work's best for you and your lifestyle. 162 lbs was my breaking point I knew I needed to do something. It took time, patience, persistence, and focus. Wishing you much success, as I have been down the road you are traveling right now and I am proof that it can happen if you stay focused and hold yourself accountable for your decision's.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I really do appreciate it. I also want to congratulate you on your journey. Even with the challenges you had to face, you were able to succeed and I think that is truly amazing and inspiring. For the first time in a long time, I really do believe that now is the time I am really going to change and see this through, not just for a short bit of time, but the rest of my life. Thanks again for your message, it brought a smile to my face and made my day.
