I have noticed that when I cook soup I always go way over the serving size, my always over do it, I cook way more than I'm suppose to and end up not wanting it to go to waste and eating the entire pot...for dinner then breakfast the next day, so next time I cook peas or chicken soup I'll just cook just enough for that sitting :)

Could you freeze portions of it? That's what I do.

When I cook soup and/or beans, I usually make them in crock pot, then put single servings in containers and freeze. When I feel like I want some beans I just take it out of the freezer the day before and put it into the refrigerator to thaw. It keeps frozen for quite a while, is much cheaper than buying canned soup and has less salt.
