RESULTS ARE IN!!!!!

I did it, not sure exactly what I did yet, but I did it hahahahha!!! So as a diabetic you have to monitor your blood glucose levels, there is something called an A1C that tells you how much of your blood sugar is effecting your body over lengthened time. The "Normal" range is be below 5.7. Results came in today and my levels are 5.6!!!

Now… I do understand that because of this I'm no longer an "at risk" for side effects of diabetes, since its the red blood cells that are grossly effected when your blood glucose is too high. The red blood cells, which carry oxygen to other organs, are affected and cannot perform their job which causes organ damage, disfunction and in extreme cases failure.

What does this mean in terms of my incredibly strict diet?? Can I go back to eating the way I did before NEVER! if I want to continue down a healthy path in life. Does this mean I can start to incorporate small doses of foods I've been deathly avoiding to come this far?? Does this mean that like any healthy person I can have a cheeseburger every now and then and it won't throw me off track completely??

To be continued...
