Newly Wed Girl's Journal, 03 February 2015

7 weeks postpartum and started my 5:2 fast again yesterday! Excited to lose these last 9/10 lbs of baby weight...then on to continue the journey I started last spring, I'd like to get down to 150. I'm trying for summer, but I'll give myself a break and be happy if I get to my prepregnancy weight by summer time!

You should consider trying the 5:2 Fast! It's the easiest fastest diet I've ever tried...seriously! There are also so many other health benefits to doing a modified fast 2 days a week...read the book, it's great for your waist AND health!

That sounds interesting. How many calories do you eat on your 5 days?

Basically 2 days a week are your fast days (I do mondays and wednesdays) and you eat 500 calories. The rest of the week (5 days) you eat normally. I still watch what I'm eating, but I don't deny myself and I enjoy myself. On my 5 "off" days I don't count calories, I just eat! I find it easy while watching my 2 little ones...it's hard to count calories and be super strict preparing low cal meals 7 days a week when taking care of 2 babies under 2!

Thanks for the advice! I will have to look into it. What do you usually eat on your 500 days?

Usually late morning I have either a couple egg whites with either some wilted spinach and fat free cheese. Then drunk black coffee and crystal light throughout the day. For dinner I have a BIG salad (lots of lettuce), and measure out my other veggies and about 4-5 ounces of chicken, pork, turkey or tuna. It's not too bad. I like to have very low cal breakfast so that I can eat a yummy dinner with my husband!

That's awesome. I can already tell my stomach is shrinking because I am rarely hungry. I eat many small meals throughout the day. Just ready to see the scale move lol
