I had an AHA moment this afternoon I thought I would share and write down so I could remember later. Those of you who frequent my journal know I have been stressed out about my vacation, fearful of gaining too much during it like I did on my honeymoon when I had lost quite a bit of weight. I remembered that when I lost weight before my wedding I had been pretty much starving myself to do it. It really isn't any wonder that I packed it on so quickly during our honeymoon. I was feeling deprived, hadn't eaten a good meal in forever, and I literally swung to the other extreme. NOW is different. I have NOT been starving myself. I HAVE enjoyed food and DO NOT feel deprived in the least. WHEW!!! I then realized that this vacation doesn't really have any similarities whatsoever to our honeymoon. I suddenly felt relieved, a little more relaxed, and dare I say it? I even felt fairly confident that I would be able to manage making healthy choices AND enjoying myself in the food arena!! So ... that's my big AHA moment. I AM fine and I am so excited to take this little journey with the love of my life!!!
