I have been gone for awhile but now I'm back full steam ahead. My clothes fit too big. I need to go shopping but I'll wait until I'm reasonably close to my goal, which is about 40 lbs. away.
256.0 lb Lost so far: 17.0 lb.    Still to go: 42.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.9 lb a week

That's awesome your clothes are getting loose! I would recommend you pick up a couple of transition pieces to get you through for now. One thing I didn't realize until I had lost a good 20-30 lbs was that wearing oversized clothes makes you look bigger than you are. When I took the time to buy a few items in the correct size, they turned out to be very flattering & a definite ego boost when I looked at myself in the mirror. You don't have to spend a lot of money, hit up the clearance racks at Target or Walmart, or the local thrift store! Typically I'll keep 1-2 pairs of jeans in my current size, then make sure I have one a size smaller to serve as my "goal jeans." And I might have 1-2 nice tops on hand in my current size, with a bunch of cheapie t-shirts from Target or Old Navy for everyday. I say do it, it'll make you feel better about the weight you've already lost & keep you motivated to work on the next 42!

Yes I totally agree, I bought a couple of trousers one fits now one for the next ten pounds bought them at a great price. Then bought a couple of new tops but feel so much better, couldn't even keep my pants up and felt like a slob and as kstubblefield said I felt fatter....but now feel wonderful. Keep up the good work.......
