I'm geeked! Just got some cholesterol test numbers, and the results were great. Low total levels, low LDL and triglycerides, and HDL high enough to just hit the "optimal," heart-protecting range.
Considering that about 10 years ago I had to go on Lipitor for a while because my cholesterol was so through the roof that I probably should have died, this is making me very happy - and I think it's a testament to what a huge difference eating right makes. I've lost a good amount of weight over the last 2 years, but it was only recently that I started eating smarter, instead of just less. And I guess it's paying off - I'm not so worried now that I'll be dead before I'm 50. Of a heart attack, anyway!
