I have been keeping a written food/exercise journal, and blogging on another website called WeightCircles. I joined WC back in 2007 when I weighed in at 265lbs-I was 29 and appalled I had gained that much weight. I have always been "heavier" and in high school I was around 220-230lbs. So being larger never seemed to bother me, up until I was about to turn 30 and I could no longer do some things I enjoyed because my joints hurt too bad, or I had a hard time breathing.

SO it meant I needed to change, I worked out and watched what I ate and managed to lose 91lbs getting myself down to 174. Then everything kind of fell apart, my dog (the love of my life) died--he was hit by a car and just left on the side of the road. The office I ran was closing its doors, and I couldn't afford my house on unemployment so I had to beg the landlord to let me out of the lease, and I moved into my best friends living room, oh yes and at this time I broke up with the guy I had been dating for a few years too.

So one thing led to another, and eventually I got another dog, found another job, and located a new boyfriend, and a new place to live. However I was still depressed and very stressed out. I virtually stopped hitting up the gym for a year an a half. My new dog didn't like going for walks at first (she was a major scaredy cat). Plus I was dating someone new--which meant going out to eat ALOT. The new job also added a ton of stress on...so I slowly gained my weight back. On 01/01/2011 I weighed in at 235lbs, so luckily I haven't gained it all back, BUT I did gain quite a bit of it back and I had sworn that I would never let the scale get above 200lbs again.

Needless to say I was disappointed in myself, however feeling sorry for myself won't help matters. So this is what I started in December:
1.keeping track of my food
2.Keeping track of exercise
3.Daily Blogs
4.Drinking enough water (i.e. 5-16.9fl oz bottles a day)

So far from Jan 1st until now I have nearly lost 10lbs. My goal is to get down to my original goal of 160 (which I never hit) BUT I am engaged now, and am due to be married this September. I would like to get my weight down below 200lbs for my wedding so currently Im focusing on 5lbs at a time--right now I am .4lbs away from hitting my 225 or less goal! Then it will be time to focus on getting down to 220...so on and so forth.

I have been sick all week so have not exercised at all, but my typical week is 4 Days at the gym & 5 Days walking/running the dogs. Since I have gotten this head cold I am focusing on resting, drinking a lot of fluids, and maintaining a low-calorie diet (under 1300 per day).

Thats it for now, Im looking forward to learning more about this site!
