Hello FS. Today has been alright so far. My doctor's appointment was canceled for today. Something not so great happened with my planned lunch for today. Had a nice spinach salad made up with EVOO and minced garlic (from jar) salad dressing, with a little bit of grated colby jack on top. Normally when I make my own salad dressing I use fresh herbs or garlic. Today I decided I'd try the minced garlic from the jar. I will NEVER do that again. I took one bite and had the most god awful taste in my mouth. It was a mix of bitter/sour. I could not even get one bite down. I ended up throwing away perfectly good baby spinach. I just made me half a peanut butter sandwich with a slice of colby jack on the side. Needless to say that minced garlic is in the trash now. Using fresh ingredients really do make a difference in taste. I think my taste buds have learned its lesson on this one. I'll be spending a couple of nights at my moms house. Love visiting the family, I rarely get to do this anymore. I have some venison my boyfriends mother gave her, and she wants to prepare it for dinner tonight. I asked ahead of time so I could plan accordingly. So this will be two nights in a row that I'm having venison for dinner. At least its low in calories, cholesterol, and fats. It's also a good source of protein, I can live with that. While I'm at my moms, I don't have to worry about the rushed lifestyle I live in, and can even slow down and go for walks. I think a couple of relaxing walks are in the future for me. I don't think I will be updating my journal anymore for today. I'm just going to enjoy some relaxation time :) I hope everyone has a fantastic day, and a peaceful night. God Bless.
