ChildofHope's Journal, 26 October 2010

Ok, so I did great for a long time. I was still around 125 when I got married in Korea in March. My dress was altered an inch smaller than I was at the time, and although I didn't have a scale in Korea, I must have kept on track, because it fit like a dream.

So after the wedding is when my troubles began. It's really hard for me to stay thin in Korea. All the white rice, bbq beef and pork with tons of fat. Plus, in-laws who insist you to eat you weight in food for every meal.

So staying in Korea for a month after the wedding didn't do my waistline any favors. So I gained 10 pounds there, and then we came home. Now being married and running my own business has taken even more of a toll on my waistline. I'm not sure what I am now, but it's time for a change.

So this morning I went out and bought a scale. It's a really cool one that measures your body fat and bone mass, and all kinds of cool things. I also ordered Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I'm going to to it every day. I can definitely spare 20 minutes a day to work out. I've got my cute little purple 3 pound weights too.

My best friend who lives in Miami now is going to do the 30 day shred with me. I'm going to weight myself, take measurements and pictures, and record my process as I go. I'm definitely going to do it longer than 30 days too.

I'm just tired of feeling flabby, and I want to get fit again without having to devote hours to working out. I hope this works for me!
