So much has happened in the last few months. I was supposed to have the vertical sleeve surgery in November 2012 but due to issues with the surgeon and insurance, no surgery. So, since I was already on track to lose weight I became more deliberate. So, I trained and ran my first 5K in November. Lost about 35-40 lbs between November and June and kept fluctuating. Trained and ran my second 5K in June. Beat my previous time. I became an Advocare distributor so if you need some great products to assist you with weight loss and weight management visit www.devinspark.com. I started Zumba last week and love it. I finally got out of the 280s....

Congrats! You should be so proud! Are you still working toward the surgery or just trying to do it on your own? I only ask because I've been working toward getting it and have been conflicted on whether to follow through with getting it or not.

Going at it on my own. While I have heard and know many success stories, I have heard of failures as well. I've not been dieting. Rather, I have been watching and changing eating habits and incorporating regular exercise. I also have incorporated some great supplements from Advocare. You can check out the products at www.devinspark.com
