Just got back from an (accidental) 6 mile walk around Pittsburgh, my new home for now. Accidental because I got way lost, but I got a great workout out of it. I started checking out all the restaurants and mentally making note of which ones I wanted to try. I'm a sucker for a Mexican dive restaurant and even the Panera was calling my name, it's so damn close to my apartment. But then I thought to my diet and my goals and I got sad that I won't get to try all the great food places I want to check out. But then I reminded myself that I can still eat it, just in smaller portions. I have to learn to buy a sandwich and say, okay, I'll only eat half of this now and save the rest. If I maintain that mindset, I can eat whatever I want. My problem has been always how to stop eating something after I started. I need to retrain my brain to think of all of the benefits of portion control by reminding myself that I'll still eat it all, just at a different time. Which is great because I get to enjoy the amazing thing two days instead of just one. Plus, I save more money by getting another meal out of it. When I have that mastered, I know my weight will stay off for good. :)

Hey I feel you I also find myself getting bummed out but when we are where we feel sexy is going to be better than any feeling because its ours I have faith in you! We are human but we are strong when I feel down I meditate and feel thankful for what I have how pretty I am inside and out, and get on youtube and watch an inspirational video or two and do some yoga or silly work outs. Ill turn music on and just dance or act a fool cuz i can and i get soaked its happier to do what I want and have fun doing it. I hope we can be each others support I love myself and want to see a happier healthier me and I hate to see us beat ourselfs down. So YOU CAN DO IT lol

Hey I too live in Pittsburgh. I have walked from Friendship/Shadyside to South Hills Village via Mt. Washington since you cannot go through the tunnels. This is abou6 16 miles. I often walking round trip from Friendship to town. Nice to see other Pittsburghers on here.
