My New Journey:Day 1/21

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. So proud of myself for eating healthy today.

Here is a quick summary of my weight loss journey to date. Before I got pregnant I weighed 196lbs. After I gave birth I went down to 175lbs without much effort (thanks to nursing and no time to snack). Then I counted calories and worked out hard for a few months and lost another 20lbs bringing me down to 155lbs. The last 3 months I have been working out but not really eating great and have been staying right around 155lbs. I would like to get down to 135lbs so today I have commited to eating healthy.

My mom says it takes 21 days to form a new habit so my first step is eat healthy for 21 days.



I came up with a list of reasons to start taking better care of myself.

1. My daughter - I am a single mother. I am the only parent she has. I need to take care of me so I can take better care of her.

2. Myself - I feel better when I eat better.

3. So all that time in the gym isn't wasted. I workout 3-4 times a week for approximately an hour. Why am I wasting so much time there if Im just going to eat junk later. (Good thing I do work out, can't imagine how I would look and feel if I didn't)


So heres to day one. Now I am going to do some yoga and then go to bed.
