Just found this site today, recently started going in to chat rooms and blogs and have been enjoying it. Have been going to Curves to workout, will be a year as of November 4. I have only lost a few pounds but I feel really good and feel like I have gained some muscle. Haven't changed by diet too much, I try to eat healthy food and not too much junk food, but people at work are always bringing in goodies that are sometimes irresistible. I have the Curves Diet book and need to start following it, at least for a few weeks to try to jump start. My weight has been stuck for a while. Can't seem to get below where I am now, around 165. I'm 5'8" so I'm not really big, but am thick around the middle, which I think is part of getting older (44), but I still don't like it. Tried the South Beach Diet a few years ago and got down to where I wanted to be, 150. Then suddenly, overnight, I was at 165! And I've been stuck there ever since. I would really like a motivational buddy. Also looking forward to reading tips from other folks.

How did fatsecret know my favorite food is french fries? They could not have picked a more perfect logo for me! I was good today! My friend asked if I wanted to go to Mickey D's at lunch, and I went for a walk instead!

Hi there!! Good luck with it - I think this site is a great help with the motivation, so if you need moral support you've come to the right place! Well done on being so good today - keep it up!! :) PS I think our UK approach to using stones does have something - after all saying you need to lose just over a stone sounds like a breeze compared with 15lbs! ;)
