I'm off to a brand new start! Time to get the extra weight off that I gained over the summer. I was up at 4:40am, left home at 5:00pm, drove 24 miles for a 5:30am cycling/strength training class. 30 minutes of ab and upper body workout followed by 60 minutes on the bike. Due to a power outage the Dome was officially closed but our instructor said "athletes adapt." So there was only a few light from the emergency generator but no fans, no music. It was like working out in a sauna! But the people in this class are tough and inspire me, so I'm not about to whine! It was a great sweat and detox after a weekend of celebrating with lots of food and drink! My best friend's son got married; oldest daughter and husband and my adorable grandson and the dog stayed with us 2 nights, youngest daughter stayed one night. I have to say it was probably one of the funnest weekends I have had for a long time, just good to be with family and friends who feel like family. We're so happy for the new couple! In 2 weeks we get to do it all again, other good friend's daughter gets married and oldest daughter is in the wedding. I'll probably over do again - but in the mean time I plan to be good with my eating and exercise!
