Mrs. H's Journal, 31 March 2013

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. So much has been going on lately. Good news: I am now a proud grandma to a 4-legged fur baby. My youngest son has adopted a GSD from a WV shelter. Gabriel Maximums is his name, he's between 5-7 months old. Gabriel is in a very safe place now getting cared for by a very sweet woman that rescues many dogs and we will be meeting her next Saturday to pick him up. This lady truly has paved her way to heaven in my book! She is the same person that pulled and transported our Dutch Shepherd to us. This fur baby was meant to be for him and very excited for him. He's not had a very happy life, but that is all changing for him as we speak. His will to live was not strong and in a few more days at that shelter he would have literally died of a broken heart. He has been described as a very sweet boy that all he wants is love and attention and will not go from your side. He literally walks between her legs and that is where he feels safe. The poor little guy only weighs 45 lbs, has NOT one aggressive bone in his body. The good news is, he was not abused, but just very neglected and all he wants to do is please you. I know my son well enough to know that this dog will have his needs met and more! My son, Ty is planning to get his CGC and therapy certificate so he is able to take him to hospitals and visit sick children. My son maybe only 19 yrs old, but has a heart of gold and knows what he wants in life and acts more like a 40 yr old at times! I know that between this dog, working on his BA in child psychology and being able to visit hospitals w/children will full-fill his heart.
