This is New Year's Day 2013. It is a good day for new changes and follows a big year for me. I have learned repeatedly that the tasty bite is only enjoyable for a minute, but the feeling of a tight muscle or hot outfit lasts much longer. I want to make some lasting changes, even if I stumble and have to start again. I am 40 now and gave up drinking last year, which has surprised me by making me very happy to be sober. So maybe I will be surprised by being happier being low sugar too.
