So I had a terrible day today... I got to see some friends I haven't seen in years... it was so hot, we couldn't resist getting frozen custard... We also ate out at lunch, some mexican type place - I ended up getting chicken tacos. I don't think they were actually THAT bad - chicken tacos with the chicken, white rice, tomatoes, black beans and some spicy marinara type sauce... As for the ice cream I don't know why I got the fudge on it, and I don't know how to estimate it... but today will be a crappy day. Trying to make a low calorie dinner... just some fish and green veggies... obviously didn't do much exercise today because I spent 7.5 hours of the day driving...

This is really gonna suck calorie-wise, and with my weight not moving at all lately I probably really needed to not screw up right now... :(

Hey girl - would you cut yourself a break, please? : ) So it wasn't a good day food-wise. BUT...you spent time with friends you haven't seen in a long time. You NEEDED the break from stress! Don't beat yourself up. It's one day and it certainly could have been a lot worse. Add a six pack of beer, or a plate of nachos with your lunch, or a couple of margaritas...you know? It wasn't so bad and it certainly wasn't a "terrible" day - you spent much needed time with some buddies. So, tomorrow is another day food wise, and maybe this day was what it took for you to shock your system a little. I'm sitting here typing, having just eaten most of a foot long and washing it down with a "bowl" of wine (as one of my son's friends calls my wine glass!). But...trying to get really sleepy and wake up by 4:00am. Want to go hiking tomorrow - probably our last chance for a few months. Only supposed to be around 100, and tonight's low is actually in the 60's. A COLD front! : ) So taking advantage of it while we can. Wish me luck - I'm not good at sleeping on demand! Keep your head up. I'll be in two or three days you see that scale move by two pounds!

Aww thanks D - I appreciate the support... I just have no idea what to do physically. I mean I suppose I could try to bump up my workout to like 1.5 hours instead of around 1 hour (usually... some days only 30 mins, lol)... but I mean that usually builds muscle which weighs more... God I don't know. It's so very hard to get motivated to work out. I do have a couple fans that we use in the house because the AC unit only cools the living room area, not the "upstairs" where the bedrooms are (it's a split level)... and the basement is kinda stagnent. But just recently my box fan lose part of one of the blades and makes the WORST noise. I know I should just go out and buy one but right now money is tight with buying the house. I'm hoping we'll have enough window AC units to put one in the "gym" room... I may "demand" that, lol since it is MY house... GOD I love saying that. MY HOUSE! Ha, I'm an only child - and I have only child syndrome like you wouldn't believe - blame my parents spoiling me I suppose, but I LOVE things being MINE MINE MINE! Ha, I feel like the seagulls from Finding Nemo - Mine? MINE! lol------------------------------------- I think I'm gonna go fishing at about 4am this morning... I drove the 7 hours on less than 5 hours of sleep... came home and crashed out and can't really eat dinner (can't have fish - I lied... I am going to survive on fruits and veggies for my "dinner" snacks after the chocolate custard). I just can't get this one line of a Weezer song out of my head "and movies are as bad as eating chocolate ice cream"... lol so I feel REALLY bad... I wish I could've spent MORE time with my friends but they all had 2-4 hour trips as well to make, and as soon as we ate custard, a big thunderstorm moved in so we didn't get to walk around.... ----------------------------Bleh. I hope I can do something to get my weight moving D! I know you hate hearing that because of how long you were working to get your weight moving... but man, I just have never felt like this. I feel... TOTALLY STUCK! Man I'm just being a whiny baby...

Go ahead and whine! That's one of the reasons you're here, right? I know my family got really sick of hearing me complain that it wasn't fair, that I KNEW I was doing "everything" right, that no one understood...so I get it. Okay, muscle does weigh more than fat, but...you're replacing fat with muscle, not just adding to what is already there. So don't let that dissuade you. I think it's just a hitch, just one of those oh-so-shitty plateaus we all dread. You could bump it up by half an hour. But I don't know that you need to do that. I really think just mix it up. Do some workouts on different days, eat more on one day than the next, drink TONS of water and see if your sodium level is under or near 2300 mg. a day. It WILL come off. Or, as my husband says, we'd be able to cure starvation in the world if we could figure out how to feed people less and have them not lose weight! : ) And hey, I hope you get YOUR house! I don't think that's part of the only child syndrome : ) I want what I want when I want it! (or maybe I'm just the same way, only I have two brothers and two sisters!)
