First Time Mommy's Journal, 24 October 2012

Well the pounds are continuing to come off slowly but surely. Even though its taking longer than I thought, as long as I'm losing at a safe rate I'm happy. I guess it took me 9 months to put on the weight, it should take at least nine months to come off.
My baby is almost 7 months and I have about 22 pounds to go. I'm losing about 2 pounds a week and I'm not exercising and just listening to my body when I eat (stopping when I'm full and only eating when I'm hungry) and I'm making healthy choices. If I continue at this rate, I have about 11 weeks till my son is 9 months and 22 pounds to lose to get to my prepregnancy weight, I should have no problem getting there. However, the holiday season is coming up and I know it will be difficult for me to stick to healthy choices when sweet goodies are everywhere. So I don't feel like a total failure, I'm telling myself to indulge a little at social gatherings but on my own at home, I'll stick to my healthy habits. After the holidays I'll review my goals and see where I'm at to make new goals. My first goal for the month of October was to weigh 140 by my cousins wedding November 3rd and I've got 2 pounds to lose over 10 days. Shouldn't be hard to but we'll see by then. Memo to self: if first goal is reached on time, create new goal for the month of November.
