Came home early from work yesterday, had the chills that I could not shake and I was tired, dizzy and had a headache. There is alot of bugs going around work and I think I may have caught one. I spent the afternoon on the couch wrapped in a blanket and tried to get warm. Once I finally woke up, I made some dinner and did alittle bit of housework.
Moving slowly does not even accurately discribe how I was moving around. I also went to bed early again.
So today I am feeling a tad bit better, have not had the chills yet. I am still moving in slow mo.. but I can deal with that.
Here's the shocker of the morning for me anyways.. I stepped on the scale this morning and I was down 2lbs. I am not complaining at all, but it scares me a wee bit because I do not know what my body is doing. Perhaps it is the increased water I am drinking and the conscious effort to decrease anything that can cause water retention. When looking at my weight history, I feel like a bouncing ball.
Does anyone have any ideas why the sudden drop? Should I be nervous about it? It is really playing on my mind alot! I sure do not feel any smaller :( (planning my weigh in on Sunday to see if this is my true weight)
As for my mood I am unfortunately a bit down today, but that could be because of not feeling the greatest the last couple of days. Also not doing anything that I had on my list that I created for the week.
However today is a new day,and I will do what I can do!
So I raise my coffee cup to health, and new days to all my buddies.

Whenever I'm sick, I always lose weight. I think it has something to do with your body being in overdrive, and trying to get rid of the illness, and that ups everything, including your metabolism. Plus, you may not have eaten as much as you normally would have because you didn't feel well. Good luck, and I hope you feel better today! I hate it when people bring their illnesses to work....

I agree with MomofTwoGirls, you probably have caught a small bug that your system is fighting and expending that energy has shed you two lbs. Just keep drinking lots of water, make sure you're not getting a fever, and remember to eat properly when you can. No worries over that which you cannot control, just feel better.

I am so sorry you are not feeling well. Also sorry I can not offer any advice about the drop in weight. No one wants to be ill but we all wish we could see the falling number on the scale. Take care and get well soon!
