Don't know what I'm doing, but it seems to be working. I dearly hope that it's as simple as obsessing over EVERYTHING I put in my mouth. Maybe it's not psychologically healthy to focus so exclusively on weight loss (it seems to be on my mind 12 hours a day)...but I'll review that when I get closer to a healthy weight.
I figure that every day that I'm sensible about what I eat...is one day closer to my goal...& it seems to be working
269.4 lb Lost so far: 15.0 lb.    Still to go: 115.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I feel as if I am obscessing too - but then I figure, I am trying to relearn how to eat, which is something I spent over 30 years doing incorrectly - it's something we all have to do to survive, it's not somethig we can just quit cold turkey (like smoking - not that that is easy either). We will always have to eat and deal with food - so we always will have to learn to live with it. Dealing with the mind issues and perspectives is a big part of this - I wish you much luck on figuring it out - if you do, let me know - it will probably help me too!
