MCT oil doesn’t contain essential fatty acids, just a piece of information for you to consider.

Why is that? It is a medium chain triglyceride that digests quickly and goes straight to the liver for energy. It boosts ketone production as well.

Long chain fatty acids, linoleic and linolenic acids specifically, are called “essential” because the human body cannot make them. They are required for the proper manufacture of cell membranes. LCFA’s are present in almost all oils as plants and animals also need them.
MCT’s are used quickly for energy, that is true. They generate ketones as a by-product of their own metabolism. Any increase in ketones they cause are the result of that metabolism but don’t mean that other cells in the body are using fat or ketone bodies for energy.
By this I mean that ketones generated by MCT’s do not indicate total body ketosis.
