Interesting... seems like what I’m doing. However I took the 1-2 week maintenance up to like 6 weeks 😳. Took it slow going up. Now drop the 25% immediately for 4-12 weeks OR drop say 10% for 4 weeks then drop another 10% for 4 weeks and so on until I’m at 1200 and weight loss stops. If I could get the hang of my calipers it would be easier as I could measure changes weekly instead of every 6 weeks.

This interesting stuff ! My Keto partner keeps telling me if I’m not working out a ton I should be cutting my daily calories in like half. Right now I’m focused on 1500 and intermittently fasting as much as possible because my wt loss slowed waaaay down

I’m working on 1600. 1200 was ok at first but I can’t keep to that for long (12 weeks and I was done). This week was to be 1200 but with school starting the kids wanted meals out and I couldn’t say no. Ordered the lowest calorie dish that would fill me up yesterday and was still like 900 calories. Then I had a pork loin in the crockpot. So this week will be maintenance and next week once we are in a routine it’ll be 1200-1300 again ;). I also think I can fit in more home workouts to burn more calories :).

I think you are doing just fine, I dropped my calories way down and it was not healthy for me. I still struggle to keep my calories up.

Thanks. I’m finding it’s harder to cut back than I planned. But as I told hubby, I’ll cut back some this week then go for gold next week :).

Did you go below 1200? My dr recommended around BMR and keep to 1200 or more.

Ya it’s tough cutting all those calories! I been fasting and keeping it around 1000 and tonight it kicked my ass

I can do a day or two per week at 800-900 but usually I don’t feel well under 1200. Tired, no energy, harder to concentrate- and that’s saying something with my combo of chemo brain and Mom brain lol. It was all I could do to walk twice a week for about 2.5 miles each. At 1500-1600 average I can do that easily and use the weight machines. It may be a challenge to go back to 1200 and still do weights. Program is more important than weight loss for the next 6 weeks so we will see how it goes after 1-2 weeks.
