I finished radiation/chemotherapy last Tuesday 6/12. It's only been five days and I feel like I haven't recovered that much yet. This is going to be a several week processs of recovery to get to myself again.
One of the biggest problems I'm having now is dizziness/vertigo. Evidently it's from the pain med (Hydrocodone 7.5/Acetaminophen 325 tabs). I started getting real dizzy near the end of the rad treatments and now that I've stopped taking them entirely my head is S C R E W E D up. I stumble around my house banging into things. Most of the time I need to sit or lay down but sitting is a real problem because that's where the rad treatments were aimed at, down in my rectal area. One good thing though, all the sore/raw spots around my belt line and down through my crotch have healed up and are back to normal. It's just the back side that's giving me hell and will do for some time. I don't see that area healing up for awhile.
Hah, I needed to lose weight and I'm doing just that now. Although, I definitely wouldn't recommend what I'm been through and going through as a dietitary approach, although it's an effective one. :-)
