goooooooood mornin everyone...just got off the scales and its still showing a gain even though the smaller size jeans still fit...not sure what it is...at first i thought the gain was just salt intake an i was retaining water..now all i can guess is that its muscle from walking...would of thought it would take longer for muscle to show...as long as the smaller size jeans fit and get to fitting better guess the gain is all part of it...just disappointing to see a drastic gain like that...still have rain acrost the area again this morning...so no walky this morning...took yesterday off from a morning walk as well cause i just couldnt get in the mood...o well..my body will thank me for it...lol...have a great day everyone...

Well, when you start or change up an exercise plan, your muscles get little tears and retain water to help them heal. This can show as a temporary gain or no loss on the scale sometimes. Muscle is also leaner and more dense than fat, so you can see a gain on the scale (water retention) and go down in sizes (loss of fat) without seeing the scale move. The fact that your smaller jeans fit shows that your body composition is changing. This is what makes exercise so important. You can be at a lower weight and still carry too much fat. So your diet is working even though you aren't seeing it on the scale too much. Keep going, you are doing fine.
