Hi there. After reading through some of your posts, and replies from others, I too think that you should consult a physician, or dietitian, to provide you with the information you need to maintain a healthy body weight. Based upon the information you've provided, your present weight is actually under what would be declared normal and healthy.

just want you to know, we aren't saying these things to pick on you, we are older than you and have much more experience with weight and health issues. You have many more years ahead of you and if you continue on this path to continue losing weight you are also looking at a lot of years of health issues.

if you eat too few calories, your body will think it is facing starvation and will hold onto the weight instead of letting it go. You need a good RDI calculator for calories. The one on Fatsecret has been derided by users of it. I used the one on calculator.net and by using that calorie RDI, I lost 40 pounds in four months. When I did research I read that going below the RDI for calories was not a good idea as it will make the body think it is starving and will hold onto the weight. So if you err, you should err above your RDI rather than below it. My RDI was 1200 calories and I ate between 1200-1300 calroies per day and I saw regular weight loss.

whats your goal, 800 cal to low you will shock your metabolism. remember the lower the body fat the more cals you need. muscle burns more calories than fat

My SIL is 5'3 and 88lbs. She is very unhealthy. She is beautiful but very boney and due to such a low food intact she has a lot of health issues and has had difficulty with each pregnancy too. He also seems to be pretty weak physically. My opinion is that you should focus on healthy eating and not watch the scale so much. A vegan diet also tends to help with muscle growth so I imagine some of your weight is muscle and not fat. If you get to only 88lbs your muscle will be pretty much depleted.

88 is unhealthy at 5ft 3. When I was battling anorexia, I was at 93lbs and the doctor told me I wouldn't be able to have children if I kept it up :O Please don't starve your body, it will get used to it and ruin your metabolism. I have been there. Sending love and hugs.

Sweetie I think you need to listen to these guys. I am 5'6" and used to be 105lb which was massively underweight - although I am not slight of build (broad shouldered). Take some advice and have a really good think about what you need to do. Good luck, and always know we're on your side.
