Charonai's Journal, 10 August 2015

After the annual ab feed weekend and a long day my home scale says I'm at 163, while my dude's scale says I was at 156.6 before we left. I've been wondering for a while now if my home scale might be off due to its use being split between myself and a family member (who weighs about 100lbs more than me)... but I'm not sure how to go about checking it since it fluctuates here and there. How old can a scale get before its unreliable?
163.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Many scales need batteries replaced regularly. It depends on type of scale and age is a factor. Put an object you know the weight of on the scale to test it's accuracy (like two hand weights). Scales are calibrated differently and the flooring can also effect the scale (should be on hard level surface). So every scale may weigh you something a little different, but they should all be within a few pounds of each other.

Thank you! It's been driving me crazy for months (especially since there's also elevation changes at one house).
