I haven't been on here much, but I am still trying to follow a routine. I'm not as good calorie-wise, however my activity has balanced that out. I recommend the FitBit HR to everyone. It really makes you aware of everything. What I like is to know what my heart rate is during activity, so that I can keep it up for 30 minutes. This does that. It also tracks my steps, sleep, stairs--and I can log everything right into my portal via my phone or computer. I do challanges with people--meet my daily goal (10,000 steps a day), a daily showdown (see who can get the most steps--and trust me, sometimes you win, sometimes you don't--it's just fun to see where you fall in), weekend goals and weekly goals. Since I sit at a desk, I have to learn to be creative--walk before work, at lunch, go to the bathroom a couple times more--LOL. The most amazing eye opener is how much gardening helped me lose weight and even maintain when I was being bad! My job is changing the way they do their insurance now. We have a report card and we have to be in a certain area for BMI, HGB A1c (diabetes), sugar level and nicotine level (I don't smoke). They will actually give us money towards the gym! Soooo...after a nice meeting, it really hyped me up because I am glad they are doing this. The ultimate goal is for us to be healthy. 10,000 steps a day, isn't really hard and the best part--I have my daughter do a lot of it with me. A new healthy generation, hopefully.
