Laughing,,,, Aldi's has some that aren't bad if you have one nearby. Sutter Home and Berringer in the regualar stores has some that are reasonable and those are normally really pretty good. I'm opting for a bottle on my way home on Friday...Celebrate the end of tax season!

The Barefoot wines are good too, Spanish Sangria runs about $8 if you like sweet.

Haha... When I am trying to focus on fatloss I omit alcohol all together, because if you drink any alcohol, your body switches to burning that before your food or body fat. But if you still want a glass of wine here and there I go for only organic wines. I think they taste great. I bought some for only 10$ a bottle..as for getting drunk..well...I usually get pretty darn tispy only with one glass of wine...since starting paleo, if I drink at all it hits me HARD.

I have friends in Paso Robles and Napa so I love to visit the wineries up there...and them too! Lol. So I am bit of a wine snob and that makes it tough. Thanks for the tips. Though I do like Sangria, it's only when I am dancing Flamenco on tables, and I prefer a Syrah or big Cab.

A cheap date are you Paningale1199? You should be my girlfriend for a little while so I can save some money! Lol. The girls I date really love their wine and one bottle may not get them tipsy; or tispy as you put it. Kind of early to be drinking isn't it? ;)

Barefoots are good, there is also an Austrailian one that I never remember until I see it. Lover cabernets.

I have belong to several wine clubs and the wines are a bit pricey so I look for finds whenever I go anywhere shopping; even at a Wal-mart or Trader Joe's, which is famous for the two buck chuck. I found the Malbec from Chile or Argentina bottled as LUCKY DUCK. About $3 and pretty good. One of my favorite inexpensive Cabs is the TRADER JOE'S brand Coastal Cabernet. The wine is from a great vineyard in Paso Robles, CASTORO. At about $5 a bottle, it is really hard to beat if you like Cabernet wholefoodnut.

Good Day to One and All, Let me just say , I had my workout at boxiing today it was a free session to let me see if this is the route for me, when I come back to vegas . And I am stoked , holy cow! what a work out. I love it. This guy is the bomb. The company is called Big Cat Boxing and man oh man inspired. So when I get back to the Vegas this is the spot I will be coming. This may be just the ticket to pull it all together. My food intake today was good.... my appitite is slowing down due to the warm weather. But that is cool , that gives more room lots of salads and fruit. We'll see. Other than that the day has been fantastic. Have a great evenning to all littleone58

I am a sucker for french wines, love beaujolais. Next I make it into town I may have to look for that Cab though at Trader Joe's. I very rarely drink since the babies but I do like one glass every now and again.

Fetzer is usually good, the Australian one I couldn't remember at work is Fisheye. Nichole, love Beaujolais! I don't see it often here unless I go to a store that specializes in wine. Lucky duck is one I've picked up really cheap at Aldis it was good, they have not had it for awhile. Now the there is everyday wine and then there is spectacular!! I've had spectacular but everyday is perfect. You'd have to be really really rich to justify drinking spectacular all the time, or own a winery. LOL Being bad drinking some Fisheye cabernet that I picked up today to celebrate the last day of tax season!!

Louis Jadot is a fabulous one, the best thing about beaujolais is you can drink with anything almost.

Thanks Draglist. Let's see what Friday looks like for wine shopping. Beaujolais Nouveau Day is celebrated in many places other than France. Good wine though my preference is from the Rhone region.

Menage a trois. I know it's a funny name (haha), but what I am told is that it is three wines blended together. I'm not sure how true it is. I have had it a few times and for a cheap wine (it's either ten or under), it's pretty good. It's funny, but we just came from the liquor store where we bought around ten bottles of wine to replenish some of the missing bottles in our wine rack and a box of wine. We like to mix and match--try some of the nicer ones, but at the same time--try some in their "close out" section. Yes, I even have boxed wine. LOL. It's funny because I'm always nervous when I buy wine or champagne to take to my In-Laws. They are connoisseurs. When I first met her, she drank mostly champagne--Dom something. They go on a wine vacation every year and bring back cases. So...when I have to take a bottle, I cringe. I try to go to a nicer liquor store and have them choose it. LOL.

Just another thought--do you have any local wineries around you? You could always visit, try them and get a bottle!
