Yeah well I suppose its my own fault that the scale went up this morning. On my very restricted diet which is made up of 3 cups of hot tea, milk and sugar, Coke Zero for the rest of the day and half an English Cucumber with a chopped Jalepeno Pepper and vinegar at night, I was bound to start craving something. May have been different if I was still smoking (on my sixth day of no smoking). I sent my houseman down to the corner store and had him buy a large packet of Salt and Vinegar Crisps of which I consumed half. This morning after my weigh in (first to the bathroom, then all pyjamas off), I telephoned the chemist and asked them to deliver a bottle of Dulcolax which is a fairly strong laxative as I realised that my bowels have not worked since the weekend - don't suppose they would on a cucumber. But we soldier on. I am going to lose these 6 kilograms even if it is at 100 grams a day. I WILL NOT buy clothes of a size larger than a 32 (don't know what that is in America). Hopefully once the weight is off, the craving for nicotine and the ritual of smoking will also be gone and then I will be able to leave the house and get some exercise - not that I am into walking or gym or anything - but just popping out to the mall, taking the dogs down to the beach, that kind of thing. Today I will not cheat. I managed three days of not smoking (after 35 years) with three packs of cigarettes in the house so half a packet of crisps should not bother me. Unfortunately I detest chewing gum - never seen the sense of it - but the taste of diet soda all day is ghastly. I know that at 1.72 metres tall, I can hardly be seen to be overweight even at my current weight but I suppose it depends on what one is used to and I am used to being thin.
123.7 lb Lost so far: 0.9 lb.    Still to go: 13.4 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
