HELP!!!
What would you do in this instance? It's Saturday and I usually like to sleep in; at least until 8 or 9. I woke up too early this morning, about 5:30, after having a good day yesterday so I weighed myself. I weighed in at 200.2 having lost a pound from yesterday.

I went back to bed, chatted with a friend from back east and went back to sleep. I weighed myself again at 11 about a half hour from waking and I weighed 199.6. Question: Which weight should I use? My normal weigh in time is usually close to 9am. I used the early morning weight.

200.2 lb Lost so far: 68.8 lb.    Still to go: 35.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I think you did the right thing in using the 5:30 weight. If you are down another .6lbs it will show up tomorrow. Good luck. Good job on the loss.

I would use the one that made me happiest. Don't lose any sleep over it. You've lost over 70 lbs and the blip was probably just as a result of emptying your bladder.

I agree with Una too plus,I would rather err on using a higher # & when it goes down feel happier than if I used the lower # & it went up. You are doing awesome with your weight !

I'd go back to bed and then jump on the scale to see if I'd lost some more!!

I never weigh myself until noon after I've had my walk and before I eat. I retain water at night for some reason and have to see like every half hour when I wake up. Take the lower one and do the happy dance.

try to weigh yourself at the same time everyday,

I agree, approx same time every day is best. It confuses me when I weigh at other times. My doctor appts were always at 5:30pm and the weight was WAY more than my morning, naked weight. My doc says, weigh after you empty your bladder either naked or just underwear EVERYDAY.

I average mine over the week, usually do a Saturday weigh in.

I have just joined this sight about 10 minutes ago. I was wondering if anyone could give me some information? Does my journal show on a wall? Does other people see it? And what about the rest of my information. I am not ready for this to be public. I am a little ashamed of myself, but really want to use this site as a tool to keep me on the track that I need to be on.

Laurie, welcome. Your journal, weight etc. Is not showing only your bio. Just something I learned is if you chose to make things public it helped me tremendously on my journey due to the helpful feedback and support from others. I have learned so much from the good people here. Of course it's all what you feel comfortable with.

I would use either. This is an on going thing. One day will not matter in the course of the next few months. Good job. I would probably used the light weight, too. It's encouraging to see the losses.

Thank you, wholefoodnut. lol I know what you mean about the support. I am just afraid I will fail and will be even more ashamed! Now, I have to go figure out how to get my name edited! lol I think I will veggienut! It's amazing that have gained so much weight. I love veggies, drink water all the time, and don't really care for sweets! It is the amazing potato that gets me.

Thanks for all the support. We have quite the group here and I am very proud of all of you. You are all doing great and I can't help to think that contributions of support from all our buddies were a tiny part of your and my success to some degree. Keep up the good work and let's see what my weigh in looks like today.
