megan4's Journal, 29 March 2009

Up a pound today - stuck to the points yesterday and got all my exercise in so I'm good - I didn't do the shred until 8 pm and I ate dinner really late so I'm figuring that's why I'm up - had a big loss the day before - still prefer weighing in every day and monitoring. Over the past week I have lost .2 pounds but when I look at the individual days I feel better - if I go by last Sunday alone it's .2 but if I look back one more day to Saturday it's almost 2 pounds so I'm good.
So my son's baseball team won! yea. Took my oldest for bloodwork - the lab with the reclining chair was closed so we had to go to the one without and of course he passed out so we couldn't get it done. Will have to go back to the clinic Monday - ugh!
We did the Earth Hour last night - turned everything off and sat in the living room and read by candle light - honestly, everyone should try this... the hour went so slowly it was wonderful. My kids couldn't get over it. I guess it's because when everything is all go everything seems like its in fast forward.
My sister-in-law does this once a month with her kids - no electronics or store-bought toys - just the basics - call it "grateful day"
Of course the minute the hour was up - the tv went back on so we could watch the USA soccer game! haha
Hope everyone has a restful Sunday - hoping I can meet my goal and get workout in again today.
day 22 of diet, day 17 of shred

P.S. Did workout ! Couldn't get it in until after 7 pm which is way too late for me. But at least I didn't skip. Feel really tired though - need to get it done earlier.

Sounds like you are doing great! Remember working out can make your muscles sore (they retain water), so you might not see the scale move as much as you want. But you will lose inches doing the shred. Great job!

Still sounds like you're kicking butt. My son's game got canceled yesterday. I like the idea of the Earth Hour, we will have to add that into our lives. The peacefulness that comes from that is probably amazing.

The earth hour sounds amazing. What a wonderful thing to do with the family, great bonding time. Sorry about your oldest having problems passing out from giving blood. I am not keen on doing blood work either but I stay conscious. By the way, thanks for the encouragement on my journal, it was a rough time mentally for me after all the fun when I realized what I had eaten. This site is so great, we inspire one another to keep going. You are doing great, keep it up. ((hugs))

Don't sweat the small up and downs..check that trend out. Since the middle of March you are down like 5+ lbs...as my 13 year old would say "That's how it rolls". I am not entirely sure what he means...but I do know that it is good. Keep it up.
