I have been very run down lately. Runny nose sneezing but other than that, I feel ok. No workouts, poor eating. Gained a half a pound ugh!

I hope to be better by Thanksgiving. Hope you all have a great one.

Just curious, are you gathering with friends and family or do you have a governor like mine who says they'll arrest you if you do? Kidding about the arrest but it appears they may do something.

Wait...you’re in Oregon?! Lol. Well most of my family is passed away so I celebrate with my bf and now our new baby. Just a lazy day but LOTS of food!

Hope you start feeling better soon, and that its easy where you live to get a test. We cancelled our usual gathering and will meetup in the new year sometime. It would have been 14 people all together. One person in her 80's, four people in their 70's, 2 in their 60's, and three in our 50's (the rest are in their teens and 20's). I'm a little worried about my mom-in-law since a couple of cooks at the senior living place tested positive yesterday. Her whole place got tested today, so waiting on results.

I hope she is ok. These are tough choices to have to make. Think of the front line people who are putting their lives on the line for us every single day. The least we can do is not to willingly, knowingly add to their already overwhelming numbers of patients.

Plans are canceled this year to help ensure many years to come as much as we can control it. ❤️

Yes, staying home this year. Protecting aging parents and others! They are the only ones I see outside in their own home for just 20 minutes. I am retired but hubby is still working. Life goes on, but we need to protect ourselves the best we can.

Both thanksgiving and christmas are scaled down for us this year. Yes, want to help those poor people working in hospitals and care homes as best we can.

I appreciate your comments. It's a shame that we are pretty much locked down and yes, I believe in the 1st Amendment. There was a big protest in my city, Huntington Beach, California, when the Governor said there will be curfews. From everything I have read, most people will be ok even if they catch it. At times, I think I got it but only because my mom, as some of you mention, is in a senior living center. She caught the virus and had zero symptoms. She finally tested positive twice and we all felt better. She is not in great health so I attribute her not getting sick to our genes. Maybe many of us have some kind of immunity to Covid. Where ever you are, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving and God bless you all.

madanjen—-your assumptions about this virus are really not accurate. Lots of info out there to self educate. It is so important. Just because someone may display “mild symptoms” does not mean that they will not have life long side effects. THIS IS NOT A BENIGN VIRUS. There is nothing “in your genes” to protect you from this.

Saw that blood type was coming back to show O blood type to be “resistant” to Covid and A to be reacting more poorly. Not sure of facts. There is a lot of data out there. I am 51, have never had a flu shot and have never had the flu. Not sure why that is. I must have some resistance to flu, wouldn’t you think? So I do believe people have resistances to virus’. Either way, I agree with Kenna in that there is a lot we do not know about long term side effects of Covid.

When the scientists are still unsure of this Covid thing, I certainly can't be positive of it. I am just stating my personal experience with my mother who tested positive several times than finally negative thank God. So yes, I agree as well, we can't know at this stage of the game what is the long term effect and why some of us get sick while others don't.
