JaydeRaven's Journal, 21 September 2019

So it happened, I got stuck on the numbers of the scale. I haven’t been eating enough calories , several days under 1000 cal. I noticed in my work out when I was exhausted at the start and at the finish, something that never happens. I may be tired at the start of my work out, because I’ve usually just come off a 12 hour work shift, but I always feel great at the end of my work out and I was not feeling great I was feeling exhausted I didn’t have the info to put into my work out that I have been. I mediately made the connection to my lesson thousand calorie days and not having enough energy to do my work out properly. Last few days I haven’t journaled and have eaten within about 1200-1600 calories. Today’s workout? Felt great! Did 17 minutes on the heavy bag (last time I tried I couldn’t even finish 10 properly).

Just a reminder not to get caught up in calorie restriction!

1000 is not enough

What Rosie said! A calculated Calorie deficit is good but I think you might be robbing yourself of needed energy to maintain 💪!

Sub 1k equals low energy. You make up for low calories in by moving less and metabolic adaptations make the calories out very low. Eat a proper amount and everything is running smoothly and you have energy to take care of the calories out portion to end up with a healthy deficit that you can maintain. Plus you're able to get more nutrition and protein in this way.

Oh I definitely was robbing myself of calories and energy. It is hard sometimes to eat 1200-1500 calories in eight hours, but I know I need to get on it better.
