Clicking off a couple pounds a week! It’s a secondary benefit of my total change in diet, the first being improving my cardiac health! At 48, almost 49 now, I recently had 3 stents placed in my LAD coronary aretery, the widow maker, and narrowly missed a massive heart attack! All my numbers for cholesterol were fine, good BP, Mediterranean style diet leaning to very low carb.. BMI in healthy limits and lifelong non-smoker and no diabetes.. but what I didn’t know was that I am an ApoE4/E3 the E4 being the culprit of my heart disease. I had been a low fat diet girl til my late 20’s and then the trend started heading the way of Atkins and low carb, so I switched. And low and behold, my genotype doesn’t manage fat and cholesterol processes well.. so while the vanity side enjoys the response on the scale.. my heart and my body is loving my plant based whole food lifestyle!! Goal for real is another 40yrs of good health!! Good luck to everyone but remember it’s about your health!!
