There was a lot going on last week. If I have a good supply of healthy food in the house I find I lose weight when I'm busy. If I don't have good food in the house, I eat out a lot and usually gain weight. Realistically, I think I am healthier and look better closer to my goal weight of 125. I like to hover a few pounds below, just so I can go out to dinner or have a treat without worrying about exceeding my goal weight. I still live in fear of gaining the weight back.

Ah, 125 lbs, that used to be my goal weight. If I can hit 135 & stay there for awhile, I'll revisit that weight. Anyway, congrats on your weight loss, & keep up the good work!

Thanks Taurielfan! My original goal was 145. I'm 5'4" and that's the highest weight on the BMI chart for 'healthy' at that height. Once I reached that goal I kept lowering my goal weight a little at a time to see how close I could get to the middle of the healthy BMI range. I have failed at weight loss all my life. I can only attribute my recent success to the fact that my food plan had variety and I didn't care how long it took to lose the weight. In the past it has always been about 'wearing a swimsuit in the summer', or fitting in a particular outfit for a wedding or party. This time, it was my only choice to relieve pain in my feet, knee and hips. Now that I'm in my later 50s, my quality of life was severely impacted by my excess weight.
