Frustration allows doubt to enter the mind. I am an intelligent woman. (not a brain surgeon or anything) but smart enough to figure this thing out. I will press in until I find my answers. 2 lbs. a month is just not doing it for me. I am willing. I am able. And I am determined. I think my calories are too low. Trying to find the right foods to increase calories, keep proteins and fats up there, but maintain my carbs at 20 g's. If you are reading this...any ideas? thanks.

You are supposed to keep your calories over 1600 I think. 1800 average. LOADS of water especially after a meal. I have found that I am losing more weight now I have upped my intake of pysillum husks cos it keeps the system flowing so to speak! I have 4 teaspoons a day.

Hi. I find that when I have a variety of foods, I stay more interested in my diet or healthy eating. I call it healthy eating.lol. Things like beans which has protein though its not a complete protein, peanut butter, yogurt, brown rice, whole grain breads which you probably know all these. Keep up the good work. Have a nice day and Ill be praying for you!

The suggestion that you may need more calories may be right, but generally speaking, between 1200 - 1500 is okay for women. Or so "they" say. So if that's true, I guess you might consider whether Atkins is working for you. I've heard it doesn't work for everyone - not everyone can handle that much fat in the diet. I'm losing weigh at a snail's pace, so maybe not the best person for your questions. I do know, however, that I'm building lots of muscle and I'm fairly confident that the weight I have lost is mostly fat and not muscle and water weight loss. That's not typical of a lot of weight loss plans, so I try to console myself with that thought : Its so hard to keep from getting frustrated, I know! I feel your pain. Hang in there or examine whether the low carb thing is a viable plan for you. Best of luck!
