I have been on a "diet" since I was 16 and I'm now 49. I have lost weigh and gained weight to many times to count. I was diagnosed with diabetes around 10 years ago and have done well sometimes controlling it with meds and food and other times I eat more sugar than a normal human should.
I am back on my meds as of a week ago and have been trying to watch what I eat so I will use this app for mostly counting carbs.
I need to start walking but with the humidity today and tomorrow making the temperature around 35' celsius, I think i'll start later in the week so I won't melt :)

Pamela, you've joined a great group! We will help any way we can, tell you things that most folks won't, and listen when those close to you just don't understand. LOTS of knowledge here, and as 184 said, lots of folks that have been there, or are experiencing it now. Cmon in and let us know how we can all succeed together!

All the best Pamela but I'd agree with Schmetterlinge - it will be hard in high humidity and 35°C but if you push yourself to do a little walking now, you'll be able to look back and say "I was determined!" and maybe, just maybe it will help you later down the line when you feel like giving up. And if you have air con and can't face going out? Walk around inside the house/apartment for 10-15 minutes. You'll feel daft but it's perfectly possible to get a bit of exercise that way. Take care!
