"Please note that some foods may not be suitable for some people and you are urged to seek the advice of a physician before beginning any weight loss effort or diet regimen. "
I do get tired of seeing this so many places. It's a disclaimer, advising seeing an expert before --- whatever---.
I happen to know that MOST Physicians are not experts regarding nutrition.
An hour or two of training, does not make them experts.

And yet, it turns out that only 29 percent of U.S. medical schools offer med students the recommended 25 hours of nutrition education, according to a 2015 report in the Journal of Biomedical Education.

In a 2016 study, researchers at Case Western Reserve University examined data from 25 family medicine, internal medicine and OB-GYN medical residency programs throughout Ohio: What they found is that these programs averaged 2.8 hours of instruction on obesity, nutrition and physical activity counseling, and only 42 percent of them taught the residents techniques for how to perform health behavior counseling.

My own 'Physician told me "you can eat only hotdogs the rest of your life and you will get more than adequate nutrition." Some doctors do study nutrition on their own. and write books on it...
My preference is a nutritionist. NOT a Physician.

Gee, if my physician said something like that to me, you can bet I'd be changing physicians really rapidly... is he a foot doctor? It's too bad that doctors don't know that food is actually your medicine. It can prevent cancer and extend our lives. Bill, you've had a stable weight since I can remember seing your name. What are your tips and tricks? :)
