Annba's Journal, 24 September 2016

I have been on a weight plateau for 3 weeks -- fluctuating with a pound. Still avoiding taking "seconds", junk food and any"sweets", but obviously not reducing intake enough for my bathroom scale to take notice.

Walked over 10 km two days last week, and did some weights at the gym. One day my Fitbit registered 51 flights of stairs. A new activity this week was doing laps at the pool I visited with my daughter and 22 month old grand-daughter. OK, I only did 4-5 lengths, because I am not a strong swimmer. In the meantime, though, I discovered a water fitness class. Maybe I will join that group. In effort to impress my grand-daughter, I did a head first dive of a low diving board. It went well, I think. Of course, I made sure to glide underwater and came up again half way across the pool. My grand-daughter beamed, hopped up and down, clapped her hands and shouted "again". Of course I did it again! I could have continued all day, if it was for the long cue of teenagers that suddenly appeared. Strange, none of these teenagers or any of the young adults who clambered on to the diving board had ever bothered to learn to dive. I guess sport of diving is for grannies!
