Magdalena003's Journal, 26 August 2016

Yesterday was another day where I felt so terrible that I was unable to participate in the plan I set out for myself. I did a little more research and learned that I am experiencing what is commonly known at the keto flu. I did to reach all the goals my fitbit set for me, but just walking around isn't going to tone my body. I did, at one point, think that I would be able to pick up the pace and jog around the local track but it wasn't meant to be. You see, I recently purchased a brand new sports bra to help keep the girls from flying out of my top when I participate in any type of cardio that isn't brisk walking. I did not get my moneys worth. I was less than a quarter of the way around the quarter mile track when it fell off my shoulders and thank goodness I was wearing a t-shirt and not a tank top. I had to stop every 10 feet to readjust (even though I know it's the right size - this thing has no business being called a sports bra). The kids at soccer practice probably thought I was a loony (they're not wrong)! Needless to day, I slowed to a walk and will return another day with a better bra. Of all the problems I anticipated when I started, this was not one of them.

I'd like to day that today will be better, but I still feel like crap. I'm glad to know this fake flu only lasts a few days to a week. I'll stick it out and go from there. My hand weights wont accumulate dust if I let them sit for a few more days.

Hi, I have the same problem. The only bra that l've found that really works is SOMA. It is a part of the Chico's store chain. They have great sports bras as well as all other bras that really work. Not cheap, but great. I went to Kohl's for their sale, but after wearing SOMA, all of theirs were a joke.

Alexandra - I do have a better one that was in the wash yesterday, but I bought another brand to try it. Lesson learned. Fastingfurious, I never once said that I was fasting and this is due to the fact that I am not fasting. Keto flu is just a popular name for it. It's really more carbohydrate withdrawal symptoms from altered hormonal states and the electrolyte imbalances that come with it. In addition to not noting that I was fasting, I also never mentioned what my symptoms are outside of feeling like crap (which is a general statement one can attach many definitions to). Also not mentioned, what I'm eating. All assumptions that you made before you decided to throw around what you know to be fact based on the numerous amount of people that you've known for 40+ years. And yes, people still use lard in 2016. You can purchase it at a number of locations and many people still render it themselves. In addition to it being easy, affordable, and sustainable - it makes an absolutely fabulous pie crust.

Great job reaching all the fitbit goals! I have yet to meet a sports bra that I didn't think was attempting to kill me in some way. I take that back.. I found one but it was a nursing bra and after about 2 months the boob door would randomly pop open if I tried to exercise. Great if you're attempting to flash random people without a lot of effort. If this is your goal I highly recommend one. They were comfy with side adjustment and shoulder clips so they don't slip off. Also.. you're awesome and you had me at lard.
