It's been an interesting day. Pensive after the meltdown last night from missing my Lenny kitty. Work was busy, and every client was talkative. Which is good, since all I had to do was smile and nod.
I finally see what folks are saying about "feeling skinnier". Today was the first time I've felt that way. My bewbs finally stick out further than my belly, and when I sit down, the belly doesn't look like an exploded can of Pillsbury biscuits. It's been a long time since that's happened! Dang..I actually have a lap!
Somewhere deep inside, I've always known that a key to getting the fat to leave is moving my body. I do tend to feed my mind at the expense of moving. I can spend an entire day sitting in this chair, learning, reading, listening to mind enriching things. But I need to balance that with movement. Yesterday's exercise was wonderful, and it showed up this morning with that skinny feeling. Yep, I have some sore muscles, but I slept SO well last night, and woke up feeling lighter and happier. And, in spite of having a Wendy's double cheeseburger (minus bun) for lunch, my afternoon weight was only .2 lbs higher than my morning. Usually, it's at least 1.5 lbs higher. I may actually see a "whoosh" tomorrow.
My boss was a "Debbie Downer" today, teasing me about my 'diet', and telling me I'll get pissed off at it pretty soon and go back to eating "normally" soon enough. I just smiled and recognized that she was talking about herself. She 'did Atkins'(mostly Atkins frozen meal crap) a few months back, and dropped quite a bit. But she got bored with it, and the weight came back, plus some. As I was leaving, she offered me the rest of the birthday cake that was left from last week's celebration of a co-worker's birthday. Even though carrot cake *was* one of my favorites, I laughed, and said, "Sure! I'm sure my neighbors would love it!" No temptations. I'm rock solid, and in the groove!
