Smartygirl, I've been the on the weight yoyo many times. What I have learned is: Life continues to throw BS at me whether I'm taking care of myself or not. Life gets in the way. My feelings get hurt, I may feel under appreciated, I get angry, I get sad, I feel like life isn't fair, and I get discouraged. BUT thru all that I MUST TAKE CARE OF MYSELF! No one else is going to do it. YOU are worth it, believe in yourself and put one foot in front of the other no matter what is going on around you. Eat what REALLY makes you feel good, not what makes you feel better in the moment and feel bad after. Take control of YOUR life and live it to the fullest! These are things I try to tell myself when I'm at the tipping point of binging.....Good Luck!

Smarty, sometimes the scale can be cruel (HCB calls them idiot boxes)... keep trying, two steps forward, one step back...shoot for a fat loss (not water weight) every month and you'll be fine.

Smarty, we all have those speedbumps that knock us off track, that's all this is, a speedbump. Friends have bad days too and they don't always act like they should, I give mine space and just put whatever ugly thing they said out of my mind, eventually things smooth back out. Don't let another person steal your joy! Have a wonderful day!

Smartygirl, I'm sure you are aware that the "experts" say you can expect a gain of 5lbs. when you quit smoking, not due to an increase in food intake, but just a reaction to not getting all those chemicals into your system anymore. Don't give up, and don't look at it as failure on your part! Just think about all the good your are ultimately doing for your body, and "keep on truckin'!!" You'll soon be back on the "green arrow" path!!!!

Funny, Smarty, we both have a very similar trait on here. We tell it like it is. We love you for that, and we see you're honest about all of it to the core. Your sweetness come through loud and clear, also. We are always here for you, and lets us know if we can help. We all have are challenges. I am getting sick of doctors, and death, and cancer. All of my closest friends are looking down on me, but we make the best of whatever we are handed. Marriage is the ultimate challenge. I inside, blame myself for all of it! I pay the price for past sins! You asked how I am doing? I am always extremely blessed to be alive.
