Howdy buddies. Welp DH's dr visit went ok. He needs to lose 30 lbs, stop smoking and change his diet. The smoking is easy bc he really is only a social smoker but he will struggle with the diet and weight loss for sure. His BP was high too. He needs to stop eating so late and start eating breakfast so I went out and got him a lot of fruit and breakfast stuff. He is not ready to commit to low carb like me but at least he is committed to making changes and I know he wants to lose the weight. I need to remind myself not to nag him, be supportive and remember everyone's journey is their own. He has a follow up in 2 months and just needs to get down 15 lbs to show an effort otherwise he might be put on meds.. We got some work ahead of us bc he is so set in his ways but at least coming from a dr , he is more likely to listen and I know he was really worried. I'm going to do my best to help him..On a another note, worked out with my trainer yesterday and I did the work out of a life time. Asked a ton of questions and learned some new sets. I have my next 3 month plan in place and will be setting some new long term goals once I reach my next goal of 170. The scale said 171 then it was 174. I need to remind myself the scale is only one tool to measure success and I'm lifting weights so Im prepared for a gain. HOWEVER, I will not reset that goal to 150 till I actually reach 170 and stay there a week or two.And oddly, Im at ease with this possible gain issue and not stressing at all.. I feel good. I feel confident. I feel strong. Hope every one has a happy day !

Is your husband willing to read up on diet and health? I realize that sometimes it's just a partner thing - if you're doing something they have to do something else.

Since your hubby likes to eat so late, Intermittent Fasting may work him, http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2013/08/06/a-beginners-guide-to-intermittent-fasting/. Can't hurt to check it out!
