Note to self: Do not eat ham more than once in a very long time!! Creates breathing issues. Stay on workday eating plans even when on vacation.

GIGGling, definately human, I mess up all the time especially drinking beer and wine, if I own it I will drink it. Best for me do not buy it and not make my own wine. My plan is pretty flexible though so easy for me to stay on a mostly on a good track. Nope, decided ham is now on the mostly banned list unless it's one that naturally cured with no additives as is pastraimi and corned beef (2 old favs) and bacon. Breathing is better today 2nd day with no leftover ham, decided it was probably the culprit.

Glen.... you've got some serious fiber going on their. Excellent. Jeri... so it's the preservatives that are causing the breathing problems? Curious as my son used to eat various things that now bother him. He's gone gluten and dairy free in the past couple of months.

Ham is bad stuff, nasty chemicals in it. Tastes good though. I eat it often in sandwiches 😀

I should add, I'm not allergic to many foods. My off-limits list goes: coffee, bananas (unfortunately), smoked salmon, crab, tuna unless it is fresh out of a tin, oh, and almost anything fatty like butter, cream, any kind of oil more than a teaspoon, fried food, pastry, but cheese is fine - unless cooked and in large quantities like on some pizzas.

Heidij123, are those foods that you can't eat or shouldn't eat? I couldn't make it without my morning coffee. My mind sabotages me if I say I won't eat something then it's all I want. Sigh. I'm not allergic to any foods that I know of, but there are some foods I avoid because I get terrible gas pains in my upper back like cabbage and garbanzo beans, so no sauerkraut or hummus for me. So sad. :'(

Heidi, that is a long list! Ham does taste good. Mine are issues with chemicals so especially so with processed meats, I should have used my brain on the ham and only had one meal and taken the rest to the kids's house when I took them home. Dummy me, it tasted good and was quick. I would also never make it through my day without coffee!

Kathy, probably the nitrates/nitrites and other chemicals. My body is chemical sensitive, I can eat a little but not much. Should have thought about how much of it I was nibbling on---should have been tracking!! Back to all natural and feeling so much better. The ham and bone will be in the trash tonite instead of leaving it in the freezer so I'm not tempted to use it in some yummy pea soup or ham and beans later like I figured I would.

We're all different. I used to be mostly vegetarian, then it turned out I have cholesterol problems, so got warned off eating cheese, which I used to love. I started eating ham and chicken instead, now eat any lean meat, but i kind of don't really like it! I seem to have gone off fish for some reason. Only eat beans occasionally, nuts are too calorific, can't get Quorn when I'm in Spain. I get acid reflux if I eat most things fatty or oily. Smoked salmon is bad for that too, but unsmoked is fine. Don't know why. Used to drink lots of coffee, but now it really upsets my stomach. It's not the caffeine, I'm fine with tea. Coffee contains other things too, must be one of them. It's such a strong reaction that even the smell of it makes me feel ill, turns my stomach. It's a right pain! Coffee is everywhere! Bananas I was fine with to a couple of years ago - now they give me stomach cramps! Crab just makes me ill, shame! I'm a lousy dinner guest, lol.

Hmmm. Is anybody ever allergic to cookies? Wish that was my problem.

lol teskandar...Celiac. And trust me a gluten free cookie is easy to pass up.

Sorry teskandar, not cookies for me but I eat so little baked sweet treats that more than a couple make me sick to my stomach. :)) Nichol, yes wine out of lots of different things but not for awhile, I dumped it out because I kept drinking it, put the equipment away. Better for me to stay away from it, grins. Homemade wine gets way too strong....Heidi, what is Quorn? I much prefer eating mostly vegetarian though I usually add a bit of fish during the week occasionally some chicken or meat, chicken or meat goes in small streaks. My body does much better on little meat. A few nuts and a little cheese as much high fat does not like me much, I used to eat lots of cheese. I am making tiny blueberry muffins to take to work tomorrow for the boss's birthday. I will have a couple, have to make sure they are good ;)

I make a gluten free zucchini bread which is kick ass. My guys prefer it over regular flour.

Nichol, peanut butter balls? they are yummy treats, healthy and you can make the gluten free.
