jmb3450's Journal, 22 May 2015

One day before this week's weigh in and I'm actually a half pound up from last Saturday. Calories in are not the issue. I was heavier on carbs yesterday than I'd like to be so that could be part of it, and while I was non-stop yesterday I didn't have a chance to get in any exercise. One thing I haven't done in a while is get some good cardio workouts in so will plan on doing that this evening. I know what the scale says is just a number, a snapshot in time...but still hoping to record a loss for the week and keep on track to hit 10 lbs down in 30 days.

Good news is it's Friday and for many of us a 3 day weekend ahead. Let's make it a great day!

I'm sad it's Friday as I've had the week off but glad there is no workday until Tuesday. So true about the scale being a snapshot, I like that. You still have some time.

Thanks all for the comments friends. Glen - I removed the blackberry pulp from the primary fermentation bucket a couple days ago and will transfer the wine to a closed glass fermenter tonight or tomorrow. We're going to have a cookout Sunday and I'd like to make some halloumi cheese to grill. Never made it before but checking out recipes it seems simple enough. It's an interesting cheese - it doesn't melt so it'll stay firm even on the grill, supposed to get a little soft in the middle and get nice grilling marks. I'm thinking of putting dill and onion in it, sounds good doesn't it? Anyway, I'd need to get that started tonight as it's best to let the cultures work overnight and then finish making it the next day.
