Just had a conversation with a friend of mine who is on a similar journey using a different site. She told me that she has given up and stopped logging entries because her "cheat day" (man I hate that term) turned into a "cheat week" which then turned into 2 weeks. Tried to be supportive but by the end of the conversation she was close to tears. When we concluded I asked what was really troubling her and she told me she wasn't looking for a shoulder to cry on - she was looking for a kick in the butt (she used different language). It's a shame because she was more than half way to her goal. I hope she reconsiders and gets back on the plan. I feel like I let her down. : (

We can control how ppl take our words either. Don't feel like you let her down, she should of said I need a wake up call or someone to put me in my place.

Did you try to give her the kick she needed? Ultimately, we can only be responsible for ourselves, but you can offer to help--set up exercise dates together, share some of the good foods you have found for yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Thanks for your comments. She knows how I feel about excuses and I guess was looking for me to tell her not to make them. Ultimately, you can only do that for yourself right?
