KSttride's Journal, 04 March 2015

I knew there was a reason I didn't like recording my food. I remember now that when I made a meal with more than one serving I ended up having to figure out what to record with a calculator. I KNOW there has to be an easier way. Help you guys!!! I need to record 402.5 cal. instead of over 1600.

Are you putting that meal in your cookbook? if so you can indicate how many servings it makes. Or you can also indicate fractional amounts where the number goes in the item instead of whole servings/

THANK YOU Wholefoodnut!!!!! That looks familiar. I haven't done this for a couple of years and could not find the right place! It was driving me crazy. :)

Never make meals except salads. 😝 Saves hassle. I don't eat what I can't count.

I have tried recording recipes and it never worked out. AM I doing it wrong? That is the reason I began putting my recipes in MyFitnessPal. SO much easier, and of course, you put how many servings you will get out of the recipe.

Somebody Else.....Lol! Yes true but this one started out small and grew and grew! :) Thanks to Wholefoodnut I did find a way to enter it but it seems I have to go to my cookbook to do so. It at the moment anyway isn't in my saved meals. Also I have to do it from the web not the mobile app, Why can't they make it simple????? Mom try what wholefoodnut suggested. I remember using my cookbook a few years ago but it was empty so I thought I was mistaken. Sigh....I always have to do things the hard way. Thanks again wholefoodnut!!!!!

I gave up trying to enter food on my iPhone or anything really, it's too much of a hassle. I didn't even re-load the app after I had to get a new phone. I make a lot of meals where I have leftovers for lunch. Living on salads does not keep me from being hungry all the time. Since I went on my weight loss journey I actually eat fewer salads than before. I do eat a lot more veggies and fruits than I used to.

Use MAP MY RUN. Not the app but the web site. VERY easy to use and adjust portions :)
