Vopli's Journal, 24 January 2015

OK, there is something mysterious going on. I haven't weighed myself in in the past two days because my scale shows a weight from over 2 weeks ago... And I have been following my diet 100% accurately. And I'm also not on my period or near that. I also checked my scale if it is acccurate, and it is, so it's not that. Why would I retain so much water suddenly?

Maybe your body is just taking some time to adjust. Mine would go through flat periods and then drop several pounds seemingly overnight. Your weight chart has a nice downward slope.

Are you tracking your sodium?

It's not as if I suddenly started takinbg in more Sodium than usually...

2300 mg sodium per day is the tolerable upper limit. It's really easy to go over that limit. 1500 mg is what doctors recommend. You can track it with fat secret.

Snezica, then you can go too low like I did. My bloodwork a couple weeks ago showed low sodium. Doc's nurse said I did too good of a job limiting sodium. Now I'm adding an ounce of salted nuts, a pickle and occasional miso to my way of eating.

I'm most of the time within these limits, especially the last couple of days. Weird. But thanks for the info Snezica and Wholefoodnut. Didn't know that before!

I couldn't believe it when the nurse called all concerned last Monday. Apparently both too low or too high isn't nice to your heart

Since I love pickles it's not possible for me to be low on sodium LOL I just track it with fat secret but my body is really good with getting rid of the water weight so I am not concerned with it. Some people do tend to hold onto water after too much sodium though, that's why I mentioned it.
