Hey, you! Yes, you! Did you sign on here as part of a New Year's resolution? Sound off here and tell us how it's going. You can't do this by yourself. The benefit of this site is not just the tools provided to manage your diet, but the community. Without the community involvement you're far less likely to continue on.

I requested 3 people be my buddy who showed up after the new year. They haven't been back since, and I don't think I scared them. I think the resolution wasn't enough to keep them here. Come on people - join in. We're here for you.

I find new year's resolutions pointless and I can't stick to them. I started this at Lent last year. Anything I start then is always successful. Wish I'd found the site earlier. I found it because I was tracking my calories on my own. Did pretty well but this is much better.

I remember being young and my mom would have us clean the whole house and do the wash so we could start the new year with a fresh start. Yeah that would last until dinner and someone spilled this or that.

I joined this site a little before the New Years in order to help me keep track of what I eat and gain weight. Trying to get up to 210lbs for powerlifting.

amb... welcome. We've got a few people here who do regular lifting. Don't know about powerlifting, but it's still a good site to share.

Welcome amb8799, lots that lift here, I think I've seen comments re: power lifting. You might start a forum chat and/or check out the many groups. This 65 yo gramma isn't into power lifting, unless my dumbbells and my new kettle ball set counts, grins......... actually I'm trying to add more free weights and the controlled weights at the gym.
